Clam Abuse

Oh good. So glad we killed it to get to the mystery of how old it was.

Stupid. Incredibly, naively stupid. Well, the article didn’t say. It could have died of natural causes, But still, the “flesh was discarded” – what kind of respect is that? Poor clam deserved a nice burial at the very least. It was older than a lot of countries and almost as old as Jesse Helms was when he went to his “reward.”

Finger Workout

Finally, a chance to use more fingers than just the middle one while driving.

Now if you’ll put down your phone, your Big Mac, your mascara and/or your electric shaver, you’ll be able to concentrate on lane changes and turn signal use. No? Well, you can’t blame me for trying.

Silent Suzuki

Now we’re talking. My biggest complaints with motorcycles are the noise and the stink. These seems to kill both of those birds while offering an even sportier design. I can’t wait to see them arrive in my neighborhood.

Heck, I wouldn’t mind seeing on show up in my driveway, if you know what I mean. I’m keeping an eye on this project.

Airhead Freeware

This has to be the most inane computer game I’ve ever heard of … and I can’t believe how fun it sounds.

Get Tiffany is an online multiplayer game community about four guys trying to win the attention of Tiffany, a super hot sim chick. Create your cool by customizing your hairstyle, hair color, skin color and sex appeal. Uh huh.

There are four people to a game so the competition is tight for Tiffany. You each start out with 50 Mojo Points and the first one to 100 Mojo Points gets Tiffany and wins the game. During each round you can either try to catch Tiffany’s attention by doing something cool or you can try to make your competition look bad in order to gain an edge in Mojo. Some of the moves you can make on Tiffany include strut your stuff, look mysterious and make small talk.

Once the game is won, the winner receives overall game points that are added to a running total. You can then check out your statistics page and see how you fare against every other Get Tiffany player out there. The game also has a forum and a personal messaging system. Because you know you’ll be back.

Car As Counselor

Leave it to Japan to take backseat drivers to the ultimate level.

I guess I could stand to develop a better relationship with my car … really, we don’t talk the way we used to. But the idea of having it boss me around. Not so much into that. Is it going to start bitching to me about the quality of gasoline I put in?

Supermassive

Hordes of Supermassive Black Hole Found!
Dateline U.S. Congress.

Haha, just kidding. It’s amazing that this find probably more than doubles the amount of known black holes in the Universe. What? Were we just not looking in the right neighborhood? It was dark and we didn’t see them?

OK, seriously this is cool and also disturbing. There more black holes there are, the more matter is being sucked inside. That would be cool if we could use them for landfills or sumpin, but otherwise we’re looking at eventual suckage of the entire Universe, right?

Mauled

Did you get your Leopard today?

No? Me either. You know, I just don’t have the enthusiasm I used to get over a new OS release or upgrade. Wait. I was never enthusiastic. Unless you count how happy I was to have Windows 95 (which came out in ’98) replaced by Windows 98 (which came out 15 minutes later. Thank God.).

OK, Apple has been no where near as crappy as Windows with its OS software, but still the thrill is gone. I want a new computer company not a new operating system.
