Samsung Memory Shrinks

Cool. But are we ever going to get to the point where “hand held” conjures up images of the banks of whirling thimgamajigs that used to make up a single computer?

I’m not saying that I don’t think an MP3 player embedded in my brain is a bad thing. I want that and I’ll put out for nano technology any day.

It’s just that it starts looking ridiculous when your ear bud is larger than your player. Already it’s a joke to try find my iPod in my pocket between the pack of gum, my nail clippers, my Pilot pen and the clump of lint.

Way To Go, Malaysia

Now this is the enthusiasm for space that we need to rekindle the world over – beginning at home. I know, wars and all that, but hopefully the next administration will will be a lot more conducive to life in space and on Earth.

Rockets belong in space, not on city streets.

Brits Getting Up Digital

Finally, something to watch on the telly. Funny, they’ve been using the wireless for centuries now, you’d think… now if they could just do something about the bloody fog.

This Just In: Earth Not Flat

I thought this was a good laugh for a Friday morning. I appreciate this guy sharing his information, but who really did not know this?

News Flash: Telephones Now Mo-Bile!

Read about it first thing tomorrow morning when your newspaper arrives. (Yes, there really were such things as newspapers, actually made from the corpses of trees murdered for the manufacture of a monitor screen-like substance called paper that could be read with the human eye. I know. I worked for one.)

Space Still Out There

Man, I am still such a fan of space .. yes, outer. I’m so excited at the prospect of seeing people living aboard a space station in my lifetime. I’ve been reading about it since I was a tiny nerd kid and I thought it would never come.

The sweetest irony … if irony can be considered sweet … is that a female, non-Russian is the commander of a Soyuz craft blasted off from a Kazakhstan cosmodrome. I wish Isaac Asimov would have lived to see this. *sigh*
